Do I need a chest strap to use ActivePulse?
No. Echo allows your Apple Watch® to function as a wireless heart-rate monitor, so you can use ActivePulse without wearing a chest strap. Your Apple Watch® heart rate is broadcast through Echo and detected by the iFIT equipment just like a traditional Bluetooth heart-rate monitor.
